LIFE stands for "Leipzig Interdisciplinary Research Cluster of Genetic Factors, Clinical Phenotypes and Environment"

Environmental pollution, lifestyle as well as individual genetic disposition play an important role in the origin of diseases of civilization.

The influence of genomic and molecular factors, environment and lifestyle on the origin, variability and course of common diseases of civilization is of high medical relevance.
LIFE will investigate these influencing factors on the following diseases:
